Cabinet refinishing

Drywall repair before paint
Nail pops, settlement cracks, and past repairs corrected and textured before a brush touches the wall. Paint hides very little, so we fix the surface first.

What affects the price
What actually moves the number
We would rather you understand this before an estimate than after, so you can judge any estimate you receive, including ours.
- Square footage and ceiling height
- Wall area drives labor more than room count. Two-story entries and vaulted spaces require staging and slow the work down.
- Number of colors
- One color throughout moves efficiently. Multiple colors add cut-in time, additional masking, and more product changes.
- Condition of existing surfaces
- Sound walls need less prep. Peeling, glossy, heavily patched, or previously wallpapered surfaces need real preparation first.
- Trim and door count
- Trim and doors are detail work measured in hours, not square feet. A home with 30 doors and crown costs more than one without.
- Cabinet work
- Refinishing cabinetry is a separate trade within painting. It requires degreasing, controlled spraying, and longer cure time.
- Drywall repair needs
- Cracks, nail pops, and texture matching are repaired before painting. The volume of repair is usually clear at the walkthrough.
- Occupied or empty home
- An empty home lets a crew work in a straight line. An occupied home means sequencing rooms, protecting daily paths, and closing down each evening.

Answers before you ask
Most whole-home interiors in this market run five to twelve working days, depending on square footage, ceiling height, trim count, and how much surface repair is needed. Your written estimate includes a start date and a working-day count, and we tell you promptly if anything changes.
We move and protect standard furniture, and we return it to its original position at the end of the project. We ask that you handle valuables, electronics, and anything fragile or irreplaceable. Heavy pieces such as pianos or large armoires are discussed in advance so the plan is clear.
We specify professional-grade interior products from established manufacturers, matched to the surface and the room. Kitchens, baths, and trim get more durable, washable finishes. The exact product and sheen for each surface is listed in your estimate rather than decided on the fly.
Everett Home Pros LLC carries general liability coverage and workers compensation for our crews, and we operate under the licensing requirements that apply to painting in Texas. We provide current certificates before work begins, and you are welcome to request them during the estimate.
Yes. Nail pops, settlement cracks, water-stained areas, and previous repairs are corrected and textured to match the surrounding surface before painting. Repair needs are identified at the walkthrough and priced in the estimate, so they do not appear later as a change order.
